Britney Spears sent fans over the edge Friday night, when she made a surprise stop at Nicki Minaj's concert afterparty in West Hollywood. Spears dropped by The Factory to show support for Minaj, who is joining her on her Femme Fatale tour, but had no idea she would cause such an uproar.
"[It] was complete pandemonium," a source told E! News. "Six people were carried out after hyperventilating. They literally fainted when Britney walked onto the stage where Nicki was hanging."
For those who managed to stay conscious, they were determined to get as close to Ms. Spears as possible.
"People were crowd surfing to get to the stage. Screams were so loud for Nicki and Brit you couldn't hear the music. Bouncers couldn't hold the crowd back."
Earlier in the night, Minaj joined Lil Wayne for the "I'm Still Music" tour at Staples Center in Los Angeles. She arrived at the afterparty around 12:30 a.m. Britney showed up with beau Jason Trawick around 1 a.m., but only stayed for 30 minutes. It was announced that Minaj would be joining Brit on her new tour earlier this year, after Enrique Iglesias dropped off the ticket.
If the party crowd's reaction to this female duo is any indication of how ticket sales for the new tour are going to fare, Britney and Nicki have nothing to worry about.
